Founder

Christopher York is a New York State Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Personal Financial Specialist (PFS), and a Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA). In 1982 he graduated Magna Cum Laude from CUNY Bernard M. Baruch College with a BBA in Accounting. He worked in both a national CPA firm and local accounting firms before starting his own, and began handling his own clients in 1986. Chris founded C. York CPA, P.C. in 1997. He maintains over 40 CPE credits annually to stay current with the accounting and tax industry, and brings more than 40 years of experience, careful analysis, and diligence to each engagement.

    Richard Ferber

    Senior Accountant

    Richard graduated from Doane University with a BBA in Economics in 1973, then from Pace University with an MBA in Accounting in 1977. He has worked with many sole practitioners and holds the longest record of service at C. York CPA. Richard prepares both complicated business and individual tax returns. In his free time he does clowning for charity at a children's hospital.

    Gene Maller

    Senior Accountant

    Gene graduated from Touro College with a BBA in Accounting in 1979. He worked at Sotheby's International Realty for 10 years and became senior accountant at Tourneau Watches in 1990. With more than 36 years of accounting experience, Gene prepares highly complex tax returns and works through complicated taxation problems. Outside of accounting he is interested in French antiques.

    Phillip Fiorenza

    Accountant

    Phillip graduated from York College with a BBA in Accounting in 1987. He worked for a CPA firm from 1986 to 1989, then spent 20 years at an advertising agency, advancing from junior accountant to project manager. Phillip has worked at C. York CPA since 2012. He focuses on payroll calculations, sales tax, correspondence with the IRS and NYC, clients' power of attorney, service and payment inquiries, and individual tax returns. He collects and listens to a wide range of music.

    Tracey Chin

    Accountant / Bookkeeper

    Tracey graduated from Baruch College in 1985 with a BBA in Marketing. She was assistant manager at an import/export jewelry wholesale firm for about 10 years. She has been with C. York CPA for about 15 years, handling bookkeeping and preparing individual tax returns.
